                              We will begin and continue a novel study. The book we are going to read is The Outsiders. I know that your children will enjoy this study.<br />
     Math-                  Monday and Tuesday will be spent on changing metric units of length, capacity, and mass. On Wednesday and Thursday will we write numbers that are greater than 100 in scientific notation and standard form. Math Vocabulary Test-Friday.</p>
<p>8th Grade<br />
     Language Arts- Monday-Guidance<br />
                                      Identify and use new vocabulary words. Test on Friday. We will begin a novel study, &#8220;Tex&#8221; on Tuesday. I&#8217;m looking forward to reading this book with the children. It was written by the same author that wrote The Outsiders and the children loved that.<br />

We are going to dive in this week. Remember, my agenda may change. I try to stick with it as much as possible, but sometimes things happen and we have to adjust.</p>
<p>7th Grade<br />
Language Arts &#8211; identify and use new vocabulary words. There will be a test Friday. We will analyze main conflict in plot. We are going to read &#8220;Rikki-tikki-tavi&#8221;. We will begin review of nouns and pronouns.<br />
Math- We are in chapter 3. The plan is to graph points on coordinate plane, mid-chapter test Tuesday, subtract and multiply integers.</p>
<p>8th Grade<br />
Language Arts- identify and use new vocabulary words. We will summarize plot structure and read &#8220;Broken Chain&#8221;. We will begin review of subjects and predicates.<br />
Math- We are working on Chapter 1. There will be a MId-Chapter Test Tuesday. We will continue working on subtracting and multiplying integers.</p>
<p>I hope this helps your child to keep up. Additional assignments will be written in the agenda books. Please check this every night to make sure they are writing down assignments.</p>
